John is the Managing Director of Benefits Consulting for Manning & Napier Benefits (MNB). His responsibilities include oversight of the sales, marketing and account management teams, as well as strategic planning and acquisitions. John has over 25 years of Healthcare Sales and Marketing experience serving the medical industry, managed care, TPA, PBM, and insurance markets nationally. Prior to joining MNB, John was the owner and partner of a Third Party Administrator, and was the Executive Vice President of one of the top five TPAs in the nation. Additionally, he was Vice President of Sales for a publicly-traded pharmacy benefits manager. John is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in Business Administration. He holds the designation of Fellow of the Academy of Health Care Professionals as well as various other licenses and designations.

Erin is a licensed New York State Agent/Broker in Life, Accident and Health who brings 15 years of industry experience, specializing in Human Resources and Benefits plan design and administration. Erin’s career started at a national communications company serving in the role as a Human Resources Manager. Erin’s responsibilities included employee communication, compliance, benefits administration and negotiation. Erin was also in the Ancillary insurance business where she was a Benefits Consultant working with brokers to develop employee benefits programs for clients including: Disability, Life, Long-term Care and Voluntary Insurance. Her initial focus when she joined Manning & Napier Benefits (MNB) was on the distribution and implementation of the suite of technology solutions offered by MNB. Currently, Erin is managing the Client Services and Operations functions for MNB. Her responsibilities include oversight of the client service team, day-to-day operations, compliance, and overall client satisfaction.

John is the Staff Counsel for Manning & Napier Benefits (MNB). His responsibilities include contracts, corporate compliance, insurance carrier selling agreements, insurance producer licensing, corporate state licensing and annual reports. John also serves as a member of the company’s HIPAA Security Office. Mr. Emmons has been practicing law since 1990. He holds both a Juris Doctor degree from The Dickinson School of Law and Bachelors degrees from Denison University. Before joining MNB in 2005, John worked in the compliance department for several other corporations.

Julie is a licensed Agent/Broker in Life, Accident and Health both in New York State and North Carolina and brings 10+ years of industry experience specializing in Voluntary/Supplemental employee benefits. Julie’s focus at Manning & Napier Benefits (MNB) as a Client Account Manager has been to insulate the relationships of our clients by providing outstanding service as well as consult with new and existing clients on voluntary benefit offerings.
Prior to joining MNB, Julie worked for Allstate Workplace Division where she partnered with Brokers to develop employee benefit programs for clients including Life, Short-term Disability, Accident, Cancer and Critical Illness Insurance. Julie’s experience on both the Broker and Carrier side helps assist in customizing a benefits package specific to the needs of each of our clients. Julie has helped implement and support groups from 5 to 1500 lives.

Erin is a licensed Agent/Broker in Life, Accident and Health both in New York and Pennsylvania who brings 10+ years financial and insurance experience. Her initial focus when she joined Manning & Napier Benefits (MNB) was managing the Client Services and Operations functions for MNB Affinity Group division. Her responsibilities included oversight of client service team, day-to-day operations, and service of Premiere book of business in western New York. Currently, Erin is a Benefits Consultant for MNB, Mid-Market. Her responsibilities include consulting, service, and day to day support for Manning & Napier clients.

Gary is a consultant to Manning & Napier Benefits (MNB) in the area of consumer-driven healthcare. He has done extensive work on health savings accounts, including advising carriers on product strategy, vendor selection, and vendor negotiation. Gary has nearly twenty years experience helping organizations manage defined contribution benefit programs and has helped pioneer a number of innovations in the field. These innovations have been recognized in Institutional Investor, Pensions & Investments, Department of Labor regulatory commentary, and, most recently, on PlanSponsor.com (highlighting the white paper, “A Solution to Participant Confusion”).

Theresa joined Manning & Napier Benefits (MNB) in February 2012 as an Administrative Assistant. Before joining MNB, she worked as an Employee Coordinator in Human Resources for four and half years. In addition to her Employee Coordinator position, Theresa organized and coordinated special events such as a Day of Caring and Take Your Child to Work Day. Theresa has a Bachelor of Science, Interdisciplinary Studies from St. John Fisher College.

Caitlin joined Manning & Napier Benefits in June 2013 as a Senior Client Account Associate. She is a licensed New York State Agent/Broker in Life, Accident and Health and brings over 4 years of industry experience. Prior to joining MNB, Caitlin held a customer service representative position, working directly with employees and HR offices at various companies to resolve primarily health insurance claims and enrollment issues. In addition to her customer service background, Caitlin also has experience in COBRA administration, FSA & HRA administration, billing reconciliation, carrier enrollment management and wellness programs. She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in both English & Textual Studies and Political Science from Syracuse University. At Manning & Napier Benefits, she will be working closely with the Benefit Consultants to answer employer and employee questions and resolve day-to-day issues.
